Mine has worked ok again this morning which now makes it over 48 hrs. Won't be getting excited based on what I am reading but for context, I rarely use Prime Video and I have had all of the issues raised.

@Mattskyuser You're right not to get excited. Until Sky confirm a fix has been issued it's going to keep on happening. My own experience is that you can have a couple of days free from seeing the black screen of doom and then it comes back.

Could I ask everyone who's experiencing the black screen of doom error to also check and see if another Glass feature is faulty please.
There are a few of us that have noticed that the Auto Backlight feature in the Picture and Sound Settings menu is not able to be disabled at the moment. Could you please check and see if you can disable it on your TV's or if it remains on the default setting of On?
If you could post the result in this thread:
It is useful for Sky to know if this is another issue affecting many customers or not.

Three weeks later and still no help from Sky? Every morning it's the black screen of doom waiting for programme to load.
thankfully another user recommended watching Amazon prime for a bit then going back to tv which seems to work but not ideal!

@Jay+RH Correct. Still no word from Sky about a fix. I first logged it by phone with them on 9 April when they conceded in that call it wasn't an internet issue. That was five weeks ago.

I've had the same problems since early April. If anything it's getting worse on a daily basis. Last night I had to reboot/reset five times and it still crashed out.
Issues. "Your program is loading"....except it isn't.
Black screen with sound.
Total crash with a restart required to unfreeze the system.
Come on Sky. Get it sorted please, your product isn't cheap so please make it reliable.

@MarkP65 Some users have found that when you turn the TV on that if you open Prime Video for a few seconds then go back to the Sky Home screen the black screen of doom doesn't appear. It's a workaround that may or may not work for you until Sky issue the fix for this firmware issue. I'm not defending Sky as I'm one of the affected customers and am just as frustrated.

Why is it every morning I get a blank screen and then I have to keep turning it off at mains only for it to do again or when it does go on after a few minutes it goes blank again please help.
