Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI don't think Sky have stopped it, it could be that with more people at home it is very popular service so there are other ways to contact them as you can see here including an messaging service and email:
https://www.sky.com/help/home/accessibility-information
Just select the option that suits your enquiry and select the option at the bottom to get in touch.

Posted by a Sky employeeHi. Indeed, we have not removed live chat as such. We have just changed to a new web messaging platform, which we believe will make it easier to get through to us than was the case on live chat.

Are you registered with Sky Accessibility?

Sky's messaging service is a joke!! Live chat is needed to so stuff quickly without the ridiculous wait of a call. My subscription ends soon and I will be leaving simply because there's no real way to contact without a ridiculous phone call.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf you are going to leave because you can't get through then that is up to you but personally I would try calling when the lines are quieter like 9pm or 7am. You could also try the messaging service:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv
So select "Yes I still need help".

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThis isn't a live chat as it is a place where customers help each other.
You should have called Sky before your bill was due because leaving it until after it was due to be paid means it will be difficult to get in touch with Sky so all you can try is to call Sky from a landline phone but dial the 141 prefix first or use a mobile phone with a number they will not recognise that it is from you.
If you can't get through then you will have to pay it when you can and once you have done this you will also have to setup a direct debit before your services will be restored.

I left for this very same reason. Live chat was a very important feature to me and when Sky removed theres they removed the only real way for me to communicate with them.

Well it's not it's a joke. I've had better back and foward conversations with a corpse. I say corpse because there just as dead as your messaging service.
