Sky.Com email verification code is sent to my sky.com email address !

I dont really want to be anywhere near yahoo tbh - but when i try to use my sky.com account, sign isn successfully and click the  yahoo mail option under my name  - thats where it takes me.

How else do i check my sky.com emails ? Is there another way avoiding yahoo servers ?  The sky.com website takes me to that yahoo login page? 

Now i am confused - i thought sky did not have its own mail infratsructure any longer and now used yahoo ? I dont actually use the yahoo account for anything. I just happen to have one previously. But the problem is ignoring all of that - whatever client, or webpage i get piointed to use it always takes me to that yahoo verification pop up - i presume based on some autodiscovery DNS when imap.tools.sky.com is used ?

Let's go back to the start.

You wiped your Android device, and now you want to add you Sky email to it.

Install Outlook on the device, 

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook

Use your Sky email address and password in Outlook.

Do you see your emails?

Correct, but all the administration is done via Sky, not Yahoo.

ok - as soon as i add account in outlook on Android - my.email at sky.com - it pops up the yahoo page stating it has sent a code to my sky.com email  account

If it worked on any other device i would be fine - but all devices are asking for sign in 😞

I dont get to the stage of inputting password btw - in outlook it just redirects after entering email account details

At that point it is asking you to enter your Sky email address and password, it's the OAuth challenge, once done Outlook should open.

Thanks Understood. But all i see is that yahoo has sent me the verifaction code pop up - no pwd field anywhere? I enter my sky.com email address and it redirects immediately to that yahoo page.

So, after entering your Sky email address you should see this 

So press next and you get: 

so enter your Sky password and press sign in.

Then agree to allow access.

Job done (hopefully)

I'm wondering if that is because you tried adding your Sky email address to your yahoo account and somehow it is tying the two together. (although I can't see how)

Lets try something differerent. Generate an app password

 https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps

Use the Gmail app and add your Sky email to it, selecting it as other, and use the Sky email address and the generated password. What does that do?
