Sky email verification issue

@Anthem1 good to hear. While you have the option, I'd suggest turning off 2 step verification via the Online Account Manager (link in Sky's help guide here), then setting it up again. Make and keep a note of the Recovery Code displayed on screen when you set it up again. It's your get out of jail card, if things go wrong again.

i will back up what @Mark39 has said as it is so important that you keep a copy of the recovery code for situations like this where you need to use it to turn 2FA off.

Well, I tried logging into my email via sky.com when it came to password it had the option to activate 2 step verification or select later so I selected later.

i then had access back into my emails.

then noticed all the verification codes had been sent to my email ( that I could not access) rather than send to my mobile.

but now back up and running

Got risen to sky as to not getting verification codes has been for 3months and not getting anywhere. Spoken to yahoo and to apple.. somethings a miss and the main link is... sky. 

so be it a different issue or not. Its still a problem. Thank you

@RJ1950 as I posted before, yours must be a different problem. The issue with Verification Codes discussed here hasn't been around for 3 months

Sounds like they were a different type of verification code, as you obviously didn't have 2 step turned on, possibly a password change request.

Check if you have an alternative email address in your Sky account as that is where those sort of verification  codes should be sent.

As it has been going on that long, it's not exactly what is being discussed here., as this specific problem only started recently.

Try telling us more about the problem, perhaps start your own discussion, and lets see if we can make any suggestions.

The more info you can give us, will save us having to ask too many questions. The first will always be "did you make a note of your recovery code".

 I have submitted to Sky not getting  verification code etc  but still no answers.

Any one have any clues is to what is happening.

@Beachhuts100 Sky are aware and are investigating. You can use your Recovery Code to turn off 2 Step Verification pending a fix.

I've had many conversations with Sky since March 320th when this started. 
They say they are working on a solution - but can give no idea of when it is likely to be sorted.
I don't think they have a clue.

None of the solutions mentioned in these threads has helped me but hope you are luckier ?

It is a very bad look indeed for Sky.

@Bobby+Par from past history, Sky don't give expected resolution dates. The only solution, pending a fix for this issue, is to use your Recovery Code to turn off 2 step verification.

As you say your problem has been going on so long, it may not be cured for you once the current problem is resolved. (but I hope it is)

I have the same problem, I can't access my emails due to this two-step verification. I seem Sky know about this problem, but it still hasn't been solved.
