@Bibbobbo33 as @SKY1992bf posted, it's not a scam. Specifically you need to log in here which Sky say will avoid your account being deleted:https://www.sky.com/signin/email

Logging in via an app won't prevent deletion.

@Bibbobbo33  it's genuine, to prevent closure you need to login, have you done so since you started receiving the emails

Re: Closure of email

I have the same issue.  I log in daily to my account (i.e the email address I received the closure email to) via both MS Office and Yahoo Mail online, so I have no idea why I am getting these messages.

The email from Sky says "We’ve seen you haven’t used your Sky email account in a while (this is the one that ends in ‘@sky.com’)., but that simply isn't correct.

Confused 🤔

@Teruel logging in via MS Office or Yahoo won't stop your email account being deleted.

You need to log in to Sky Yahoo Mail via the link I previously posted. That is, here: https://www.sky.com/signin/email

See Sky's help here: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-yahoo-mail/inactive-sky-yahoo-acc/articles/inactive-yahoo-mail-acc...

Re: Closure of email

Thanks Mark. Sorry, should have been clearer when I said Yahoo, I meant the Sky Yahoo Mail site. Use it daily!

Re: Closure of email

Still doesn't explain why I got the email in the first place though as it's my main email account!

No, it doesn't and as you'll have seen, you're not alone.

From previous posts it seems that at the moment Sky don't have an answer either. If you call, they're likely to tell you either that it's a scam (which it isn't) or it's a mistake which doesn't inspire confidence.

Superusers have requested clarification from Sky in a private forum.

@Teruel is this your only Sky Yahoo Mail account?

@Bibbobbo33 do you have more than one Sky Yahoo Mail account? Or is this the only one?

Re: Closure of email

My account is so old it stems from the days when you could set up additional email addresses, which I did.  Could it be one of those that's earmarked for extinction?  I use two of them but two others have fallen fallow.

@walbassist

The email itself from Sky should have been sent to the address that is as risk of being closed so if it is this old account when did you last login to it online at Sky.com ?

You can call Sky and they'll reactivate them for you.

Was your Sky Yahoo Mail closed as inactive and subsequently reinstated by Sky? I've not heard of them doing this.
