Keep getting emails from "Sky" saying my email account will be closed in next two weeks? Is this a scam .?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Bibbobbo33 as @SKY1992bf posted, it's not a scam. Specifically you need to log in here which Sky say will avoid your account being deleted:https://www.sky.com/signin/email
Logging in via an app won't prevent deletion.

I have the same issue. I log in daily to my account (i.e the email address I received the closure email to) via both MS Office and Yahoo Mail online, so I have no idea why I am getting these messages.
The email from Sky says "We’ve seen you haven’t used your Sky email account in a while (this is the one that ends in ‘@sky.com’)., but that simply isn't correct.
Confused 🤔

You need to log in to Sky Yahoo Mail via the link I previously posted. That is, here: https://www.sky.com/signin/email
See Sky's help here: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-yahoo-mail/inactive-sky-yahoo-acc/articles/inactive-yahoo-mail-acc...

Thanks Mark. Sorry, should have been clearer when I said Yahoo, I meant the Sky Yahoo Mail site. Use it daily!

Still doesn't explain why I got the email in the first place though as it's my main email account!

No, it doesn't and as you'll have seen, you're not alone.
From previous posts it seems that at the moment Sky don't have an answer either. If you call, they're likely to tell you either that it's a scam (which it isn't) or it's a mistake which doesn't inspire confidence.
Superusers have requested clarification from Sky in a private forum.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Bibbobbo33 do you have more than one Sky Yahoo Mail account? Or is this the only one?

My account is so old it stems from the days when you could set up additional email addresses, which I did. Could it be one of those that's earmarked for extinction? I use two of them but two others have fallen fallow.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe email itself from Sky should have been sent to the address that is as risk of being closed so if it is this old account when did you last login to it online at Sky.com ?

You can call Sky and they'll reactivate them for you.

Was your Sky Yahoo Mail closed as inactive and subsequently reinstated by Sky? I've not heard of them doing this.

Has this happened to you and if so did they manage to reactivate it for you ?
