Hi
I had Sky broadband installed almost 4 weeks ago, I have been seeing packet loss while playing Dota 2 on the EU West server. This never happened with my previous broadband supplier (EE).
Any help with troubleshooting steps?
Thanks

Hi @jamesn123
Thank you for your response.
I play the game on my PC which is connected to the router directly via ethernet cable. Router statistics below.
Thanks

Can you post some ping tests/ping plotter results to the server in question?

Thank you @jamesn123
I've only had Sky for around 4 weeks and never had this problem with my previous supplier (EE).
The only thing I changed when swapping providers was the router, I kept all of the same cables etc. Do you think this points towards the new Sky router having issues?
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreCould be or could be that the Sky hub doesnt like your cables or NIC. Maybe try changing the ethernet mode on the hub to fast instead of gigabit

@jamesn123 I've tried the different cable and changing the socket but no luck.
I did find another ip to use with screenshot of ping plotter below, doesn't have the 50% packet loss to router but can still see packet loss.
I also have the ingame log files with connection information if that helps.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThat ping plotter looks a lot better, within acceptable values anyway. Is it no better in game?

@jamesn123 I'm still noticing the packet loss and it causes stuttering ingame unfortunately.

Just bumping this post as I still have consistent ongoing packet loss issues.
This time I've been playing Valorant and experiencing exactly the same issues:
This issue only started when I moved from EE to Sky and I didn't change any hardware outside of the router now being Sky's own. Struggling for a solution and it's really frustrating trying to play with this kind of packet loss.
Thanks
