Are you back on yet? I'm going to be ringing sky today and asking for a refund on my bill. They could at least keep customers updated via email

36 hours and still no Internet this is absolutely ridiculous
Unfortunately no ISP can guarantee fixed-line broadband availability, particularly when local exchange-level infrastructure fails. If continuity of service is essential to you then you need to consider using a service with some redundancy built-in, such as failover to cellular data.

Any refund will be via the auto compensation mentioned in the earlier post, once you're eligible and only after the fault is fixed. Sky won't keep customers updated as they simply won't have the staff to email anyone who may be affected in your region. Also Sky will get updates from Openreach and they are not the best at updating the ISPs.

Still nothing here , Spoke to Sky and still no time line but these faults are normal fixed with 48hrs from the time the fault was report she said. I won't hold my breath though I said but she was not very customer friendly and no I did not loose it on the phone as this would have got me no where

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreFairly unlikely a resolved exchange-level outage in southern Cumbria two weeks ago is causing an issue that you are encountering today. The Sky message is perhaps unhelpful: it absolutely doesn't mean there's not a problem with your connection, just that it isn't due to something wider that they are aware of.

I have the same probelm no internet for the whole morning. Earlier test responded with that there was a known issue. Now its saying no issue but wants me to book an enginneer as i cant get the service running through the normal mindless checks of rebooting the router. earlest engineer date is the 27th July. Not acceptable and no one to talk to.
