Fibre at new build property

Hi all,

I've recently purchased a new build property and upgraded by Sky broadband to fibre, as my old broadband wasn't avaiable at the new property. Sky and Openreach have both confirmed my new house is able to have fibre broadband.

The house already has a ONT box according to the developer. However, received email from OpenReach saying they would need to send an engineer to check we can have fibre. This isn't schedueled until mid April and I rely on a good internet connection for work (mobile 4g isn't good in the house).

My question is, do I need an engineer to install? Or is it just a case of plugging in the new router when it arrives.

Many thanks,

Zach
