Thanks @Annie+UK - I'd tried every single code going that I could find for Panasonic TV's mentioned on both Sky and other sites, then finally I found a site that mentioned that some TV's have boards made by Vestel and they have a completely different code (0808) to the published codes.

Hi all,
First post/query...
My Panasonic TV remote was set by the Sky engineer to control my Soundbox however in doing so I can no longer control the TV volume independently.
As the TV does not have an optical in (its an older model) i need the TV volume to work to watch a dvd, does anyone know how to regain control of TV volume on TV remote please?
Thanks in advance

I had the same issue with the remote suddenly not controlling the volume, and no codes worked although it did still switch the tv on and off. The solution that eventually worked for me was simple! I pressed 7 and 9 together until the red light flashed 4 times (factory reset), then re inserted the code for my tv after pressing 1 and 3 for 2 seconds and it worked straight away @cero @Annie+UK

Open the remote battery cover, OK, the label inside gives you details of how to reset the remote.
You must have a 4 digit number for your tv, (this can be found on-line) .
So the label inside your battery cover tells you to
1. press the tv button
2. press the select and red button together
3. enter your 4 digit number
4 sit back and pat yourself on the back for being a clever bunny.
You are welcome

Just solved this after 2 hours trying !!😁😁😁😁
First find model and make of your TV ( write it down)( mine was SONY then KDL 40000 something
Go online to " sky help for remote, ", you will be asked make and model of TV, enter those,
Then it should give you a 4 digit code( you will need this)
Next go to your remote, press TV, then never mind if nothing happens just press SELECT and RED BUTTON together until light at top of remote flashes twice.
Then on your remote, now enter the 4 digit code, don't worry if nothing changes on TV screen, it is still being entered.
Once you have done that you SHOULD be able to work the volume on your remote!!!
It worked for me !!

Hello, I have an LG 32LH3000 tv and now sky+ remote has stopped changing volume and mute. Have tried instructions to press tv, then select / red together etc but that doesn't work. Controls everything else still, just not volume. It's ever since my other half unplugged his surround sound speakers.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYour remote may have been programmed to control the volume of the surround sound speakers rather than your tv. Try first resetting the remote by programming it with code 999, the re-programme it with the correct code for your tv.

Sky sent a message saying they upgraded my system on Monday and since then my volume is all messed up. The volume on my Sky remote does not light up Red anywhere; the rest of the remote is fine.
I'm being forced to run my Samsung TV at 65 where it's normally 14! And if I use any Streaming apps or DVD I have to mute prior to usage or fear blowing speakers! Ugh.
How do I fix this ? Please ?
