Is HDR working too with BBC iPlayer on the V3 boxes?

I just signed in on iplayer on my V3 box and UHD HDR started playing without issue today at least.

Nah I'll stick with the  V2 box as I don't want to pay £50.00 just to watch something that is actually free via the app on my Firetv Stick

🤣🤣🤣

If you don't have a Firestick 4k Max, then you won't get UHD/HDR. The iPlayer app on the Firestick 4k doesn't do UHD/HDR.

Yes - UHD used to work on iPlayer on the Amazon Firestick but BBC withdraw it as they had issue. It does work on the latest Max stick as you say.

Why can't I watch Ultra HD content on my Amazon Fire TV anymore?

Even  newer version on my V2 box. Shame there's no HDR on the V2 box not that I'm really bothered because I get HDR on the TV app. It interesting that the V2 box is identified as a 2016 box.

Re: iPlayer UHD?

Mine is a V3 box but still no 4K via iPlayer app. Weird. I did escalate it with viewer relations but I need to call the technical department.

Panasonic 50cx700 sky q 2tb, keep the 3d films, I am still watching those

It may be to do with your TV. The Panasonic CX700 does not do HDR so the Q box therefore may be restricting iPlayer output.

I think all UHD iPlayer output has HLG HDR so if your Q box is not detecting a TV capable of receiving such a signal then it may restrict it to HD.
