Same as everyone else today, virgin broadband working fine on all other platforms aside from stream. Already as a stream customer I find the platform flaky and now this! Can't watch TV at all.

I just tried calling sky, and no compensation is available on TV contracts due to loss of service, even if sky is at fault.
What utter sloblock!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThis will be resolved pretty quickly Sky won't mess around fixing access to a Internet network that over 60% of the UK can use if it was a smaller ISP issue it likely wouldn't be as much of a priority as bad that sounds.

There's no automatic compensation for this because subscription television operates under a different regulatory regime to broadband even where that television service is delivered online.
It's open to any television subscriber to attempt to negotiate recompense from Sky individually, and to decide how to act regarding future subscription if none is forthcoming.

Posted by a Sky employeeHello everyone,
I'm so sorry for this inconvenience, I can confirm we've spoken to Virgin Media and they are actively investigating the issue. We're working with them to get this resolved as quickly as possible 🙂

I have always been suprised how little regulatory pressure Sky have been under over the years in terms of PayTV when by any measure they were/are domaint PayTV company in UK.
