Yes going frim some later posts it does point to a dns issue with VM. Out of Sky's control in this kind of scenario.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreQuickest way is if you have a third party router spare you could place hub in modem mode and connect seperate router and this works to bypass the VM DNS servers that are busted.
Failing that nothing can be done until VM fix the issue.

Everyone should start posting on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and start @ sky, virgin, bbclick etc. Let's get this in the public domain and get some urgency around resolving it and warning others. Sky not exactly setting the world on fire with resolutions

Just a matter of waiting then .

Just had a mate on virgin to test and he gets the opt out page fine, sure you're using a laptop/pc connected to virgin broadband and not a mobile device using mobile data/4g?

With respect Sky have zero control over another ISP's dns issues. Yes they are responsible for their setup and any bugs in Glass. But in this case it is actually a Virgin Media issue.
I will remind you also of the forum rules about lobbying:

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out morePerhaps you should ask sky to introduce a network setting option that allows DNS changes directly at the Glass, its possible on Q systems.
Would have fixed this issue within minutes...

My contracts with Sky not virgin. I'm not inciting a riot, just seeking a resolution. If your happy paying for a service you don't receive then that's upto you.

Good suggestion, you can add it to the Ideas forum. Others can then add their voice. You should at least take credit if it comes about 🙂

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GD1 There is no ideas page yet for Glass! - I think it would be a riot if there was 😂
