Sky gave me a list of things to try, as they were aware of the issue, since not using Silvelight, but i still get the failiure to connect in a untimely message, so its a get out of contrac reason for me, POOR SERVICE

Install as admin and then run as admin should easily fix that error.

thanks this worked for me only issue now is that the **bleep**ty sky go app is always attempting to update it's **bleep**ty self with an update which then breaks the **bleep**ing app back to this same **bleep**ty state all over again...it's a nightmare does anyone over at sky actually troubleshoot these issues before releasing it publicly so now there is a catch 22 situation where the app refuses to work until you update but the update breaks the app...why do i pay <removed>

I can not get it to work, Sky on the telephone basically admitted, there unsure of the remedy, it is still being worked on, I have just e mailed them, as this only became a issue, when Sky did not stick with Silverlight, so I await there response

Well I now know I'm not the only one.
Although Sky knows they are the cheapest supplier around so I feel that's why they don't seem to care.
I may even do the same.

Mine was working fine on my Windows10 Laptop now it’s not just gets stuck on the SkyGo Screen says downloading updates then doesn’t do anything !!!!! Not just me then 🙄

I have since found out why this happens.
Sky go needs atleast 4Mbps fro it to work.
My Internet speed was under 4megs until I sorted it.
All I did (For my desktop) is just turn my antenna. Now it's picking up the wi-fi better.
5.59mbps. Now Sky go works.
I will invest in an "Ethernet cable" that way my internet speed will be constant.
Make sure your internet speed is faster that 4mbps. It will work.

My speed is 19.01Mbps upload and 53.83 Download ! Still not working arghhhbv

Oh! Then I'm not sure. That's how I sorted mine unless I was just lucky.
Do a speed check anyway, then call sky. Maybe it's a laptop issue. I don't know.

Try plugging in an ethernet cable and see if it works!

Called Sky - uninstalled everything and cleared cache browser - cleared all from App Data Local and Local Low and Roaming sky cisco play ready reinstallled and now working yippee 👏👏
