Re: Firmware QS013 has started rolling out

My problems with programs not loading and apps not working have started since the update. I am with Vodafone and have now changed the DNS settings and this has solved the issue.

@Carnoch04 I'm also with Vodafone and suffering, pauses, slow loading etc. What dns settings have you used? Thanks

Re: Firmware QS013 has started rolling out

When all of us with 3 5G broadband were having issues, changing DNS to Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 got everything working again... But also get in touch with Sky so they can get it fixed... took them a few weeks but they did get the issue fixed with the 3 Network.

I used 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 as secondary. Everything is working as it should today other than All4.

Re: Firmware QS013 has started rolling out

My Glass has finally updated, even I can notice the improvements (I have everything on auto and default).

also as a note, I love the new way it does the "watch from start" and "watch in UHD" options. It was so annoying before having to wait for 2 boxes to pop up.

Also like that pressing up or down through the channels when you're on the channel itself is much faster

Initial comment, the picture is extremely good (before someone else says it, no it's not OLED good, but a great improvement).

Just had a brief play, and as others have said Movie seems to be the best picture for us.

Found a slight oddity with Netflix, Lost in Space (TV series) is a good reference test piece it usually outputs in DV and says DV but according to Glass it isn't. Yet I can output from my other streaming unit and it does output DV.  Must be a Netflix source issue as other content is displaying OK.

Will have another play this evening after work.

Re: Firmware QS013 has started rolling out

I have had update, but my UHDHDR picture is still very dull, is there a correct setting to improve this at all?

Re: Firmware QS013 has started rolling out

Try toggling the local dimming option on/off.

It definitely affected mine..

Re: Firmware QS013 has started rolling out

@tavare149 i just went into settings and reset picture and sound settings to default. That way it updates the settings to the way Sky intended it to look (ie with the better picture after this update)

Yipee, update QS013 downloaded overnight.  I have unplugged and rebooted Glass as well as returned the settings to default.  I am in cinema mode and have auto backlight off and local dimming on.

There is a marked improvement to the picture quality but on default settings I found it a bit too "white".  I have now used the settings as suggested by @Anonymous in post 110 of this thread.  I have found these setting give a pretty good picture but of course this is subjective.  I will now play with small tweeks to see if I can improve it even further.

Re: Firmware QS013 has started rolling out

@Fothergill1

Glad settings work for you but as you say all subjective and will need personal tweaks.  I have now switched local dimming on again as the flickering has stopped after a reboot.

I'm pleased with the picture it's fine for a bedroom set now.

I have a Vestel manufactured JVC in the kitchen and the picture quality is better on that than Glass.  The issue is the panel in Glass, not the best quality sadly.

I would imagine picture performance has peaked now there will be little more in software adjustments that can be done.

Re: Sky Glass and Sky Stream QS013.007.00P Firmware

Is the update only for the vivid option or is for all the settings
