Just turned my local dimming on on my 43 glass - will let you know about the flickers - any particular channel or app ?

@just tried 10 minutes of power of the rings episode 6 and I think the local dimming turned on has fixed the flickering issue
further investigation is required

I was just watching general streaming channels and film on Prime. As said turned it off and all was then fine.
I'll try it again later see if different today, I'll reboot TV again before turning local dimming on.

i think the YouTube app looks slightly different since the update - not sure if the apps are updated with the firmware updates or are updated separately

OK just watched the news for half hour or so and no flicker, hopefully the reboot cleared any clitches.

Firestick HDR setting should be set to adaptive, that way it'll play HDR content in HDR and SDR content in SDR, as opposed to SDR content (and menus) having a fake HDR applied to them.

Yes Adaptive is best settling
Using always on gives you fake HDR with content that don't have HDR
