Even if the call was genuinely from Sky, you can't contact their Outbound Marketing team, so far as I'm aware.

I have probably posted this advice before on this thread but I'm not going through 15 pages looking for it 😀 so…

With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll most likely be a scam call.

Hi @werdna67   That is the correct procedure from Sky to check that they are talking to the account holder. It is not your account password, it is your telephone password which should be different to your account password. If there is any doubt, deliberately give them the wrong telephone password. If they accept it, you know you are talking to scammers.

I have had the same call today!  They ask my name and if I am I the account holder, then ask if they can call me by my first name, then hang up???

3372 - Received a call from this number ending 3372, won't let me post with the full number. Didn't say they were sky spoke in a different language. After i said hello, they hung up.

Just had a phone call from Sky after submitting a scathing review on their survey request. They offered to lower my bill by £5.50.  When I told them that was not enough to make me stay and that I would be looking at other suppliers. I also said that as I stated in my survey return I was never rewarded for being a loyal customer. They hung up on me! Rude to say the least as I did point out I knew it wasn't his fault but as phone calls were recorded hopefully someone would listen. Totally upheld my thoughts of customer services being awful.

@MarkGoldsmith I get scam calls on O2 on an almost daily basis, rather annoying but the network either can't or won't do anything, I'm going to speak to them about changing my number, I don't really want to but I have no choice.

@Welshguy21 Never answer any call that comes up as "suspected spam" on your phone, it's 100% guaranteed to be a scam.

If you checked every number before answering a call you'd never answer any calls.
