Hi, thank you so much for your reply, I hadn`t realised about the Broadband being less, now I feel even more confused.
Please might anyone know if I was on my 31 days notice for the TV but moved to another provider after 14 days would it cause any problems with my Sky account or do I have to wait until the 31 days are up before I can consider moving? thank you

It won't affect your Sky TV subscription which will continue until expiry of the 31 days notice. It's conceivable, therefore, if you sign up to a new provider during your 31 days notice with Sky, that you might up paying both your new provider until your Sky service expires.

Thank you very much, that is what I thought but wasn`t sure if I was able to do this. So once I give my notice to Sky it is up to me whether I use it or not for the 31 days? I appreciate I would have to pay for both,

Once you give the 31 days notice in 31 days time your TV service from Sky will be turned off and cancelled. If you change your mind before the 31 days is up them call Sky to stop the cancellation. You can do whatever you want with another provider during this time as it has no impact on Sky.

Thank you, that is great to know that I can give notice and then move to another provider anytime within the 31 days. As advised to me earlier BB is 14 days and TV is 31 days, can I just tell Sky I want them both to end on the same day which would be 31 days?

You will have to see what Sky says, if not you will have to call back to give the 14 days notice for the broadband.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply, I had a Virgin Media person knock on the door out of the blue (beware big brother is watching you!) he went through everything with me and I have signed up with them. Sky were not interested in keeping me as a customer on chat or on the phone so I am now leaving.

Just remember you've got new customer offers from VM. Once your current term expires you'll find the prices aren't so keen.

I appreciate that, but at least I don`t have to worry for the next 18 months and have saved £315.

@katiesmum Then if Virgin hike the price you can move back to sky and get a new customer deal and keep repeating the cycle every time you contract is up. If you want a package deal its the only way to do it, just play them at thier own game.
