I thought that the NFL had sold all rights outside North America to DAZN so maybe Sky are having to negotiate some kind of deal with them like Channel 5 have done to show the World Club Cup .

Dazn have had some nfl rights for Game Pass International for the last few years.

As of now, Dazn still have section on their website that in UK & Ireland certain games are blackout.

There has been no confirmation from nfl as to the 2025 season rights that would be blacked out.

I have my doubts Sky would agree a new deal with NFL without the 2 Sunday games being exclusively live,.

Nothing in the schedule for the next two weeks.

The place holder on Discovery+ under all sports has also disappeared.

Did someone jump the gun?

Lets be honest Goodell is no different to anyone else. Money talks and Sky’s commitment to the sport over the years means nothing.

Just been said on DS forums. Place holder still there. Just hidden.

Not a good sign for Sky coverage.

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

I think your correct, Sky's commitment over the years will mean nothing. sky now has fierce competition in the sports coverage market, With all these streaming services and it's looking like the international game pass is doing well for the NFL.

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

I won't be watching anymore if nfl isn't on sky or tnt unless netflix got more games dazn is a bloody awful channel and i won't be giving them my money for anything. I do think it's getting out of hand now and something needs to be done,i don't know how they think people can afford to keep paying out for all these channels. I know of people who are so sick of it they have cancelled everything and have freeview and thats it. For me my main things are cricket and ice hockey so as long as i can watch them i am happy but i feel sorry for people who watch and love loads of different sports must be a nightmare. Greed will end up hurting sport as people will say enough and switch off.

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

Lucky for me the only sport I'm really into is NFL, so I don't care who has it. What I do care about is missing key games because of black outs. Last year I even saw game pass on Prime, If Sky lose that right I will be happy.

DAZN is not a channel - it is a streaming platform.

When Sky started buying all the rights - pople complained it was unfair that they got everything.

People complain that they haven't got everything.

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

Whatever you want to call it it's bloody awful!

These people seem to think people have endless amounts of money to keep getting all these channel and streaming services and i wouldn't be paying out if there was only one thing on there i liked. As much as i love hockey if there was nothing else on the channel of intranet to me i am not paying out just for that.

It seems the more channels and streaming there is the worse programs become.

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

I guess it's all down to how much of it you watch and how much you like the sport and I don't mean just watching matches. I was the same when F1 went to Sky, I stopped watching it.

Re: Sky nfl coverage from 2025

With the nfl i only really watch my teams games plus a few more playoff games and the superbowl so not worth paying out extra for but ice hockey i watch all my teams games and at least 5 or 6 other games a week and i watch the nhl and shl so am happier paying out for it.

When's pro football talk back from hiatus as I think that will be the telltale sign that there is still hope of a sky deal
