I am sick and tired of Movies 24 as all you get is the same films week after week after week. But it's the same on other channels too. If I come out of my contact early will I be penalised?

Yes, it's in the Sky Terms & Conditions you agreed to when you signed up

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt is hardly Sky's fault but I am thinking of giving TV up completely to me it just seems like endless sport, reality and game shows none of which we watch.
Apart from looking at the guide to see what is on we have not watched the TV since last Sunday.

I left sky over one year ago, purely because of the compleat dross they show on their channels, I have just looked today at some of their programmes for today, And they are still showing the same shows on the same channels, As they did before I left, A year ago, Seriously how anyone can subscribe to the likes of the movie channels amazes me, Repeat after repeat on a loop, and sky charge people to look at this rubbish 😁 As for sky sports wow what have they done to that, Gone is the Champions league, And FA Cup and in comes womens netball and womens football, oh dear what a very poor substitute, As for Sky sports news it has now become so PC poor old jeff Stelling must have to watch every word he says on that program , In what can only be described as a truly dreadful program, Out go Charlie Nicholas, and phil Thompson (ech), And in come four robots with zero sense of humour And that use to be my favourite program every Saturday afternoon. And now it's pure rubbish, So I would advise anyone pay the early termination fee (As I did £96) And get your self a humax freesat box they are excellent) No more watching dross from sky. (Believe in better, They Believe in repeats and second rate shows)

Find out moreIt gets worse if like me you don't watch sports, however you can't blame Sky for everything many of the channels are nothing to do with Sky and broadcast channels are as bad if not worse particularly when "new" means we have shown it loads of times on our other channels are getting it for the first time on this channel.

I've noticed this over the last couple of weeks when looking at my scheduled recordings. If it wasn't for Alfred Hitchcock Presents & a series of Jimmy Carr concerts I'd hardly be recording anything. Luckily I have a few series from earlier in the year that I've held back to binge-watch, plus I have Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney+ & YouTube to go to. However, isn't this always the case during the Summer months? I'm not defending it but for as long as I can remember Summer was never a good time for TV & we had to wait for the brand new Autumn schedule with its shiny new shows.

@kingkenny12 I don't really understand why after already leaving Sky, you still want to come back to the forum and moan about Sky... Move on man and enjoy your Humax freesat 😉
Oh and according to your last moaning post, you left Sky a few months ago, not 'over a year', as per below:
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Account-Billing/RIP-OFF/m-p/3986873#M132166
Ps. I also think its against the forum rules to advise everyone to leave Sky and pay the termination fees.
