And you have no comeback if they remove the channels and are stuck with a contract you don't want or need...no thanks!
I presume by they you're referring to Warner Brothers Discovery who, being the parent company, decided to close the Eurosport channels and move the content elsewhere to TNT.

It's not WBD who are trying to sell me a package by telling me it includes Eurosport 1 & 2 and saying they (the colleague phoning me) have no knowledge of it being discontinued.

Fair comment @theredhouse55555 in all honesty they may not know giving that Sky Customer Advisors work for Sky and not WBD.
It's a matter of wait and see

I have the current D+ subscription for cycling and Superbikes. You can use the app on mobile devices and also the app on your TV or Sky box.
You can VoD and D+ has all the cycling to watch, from track, CX, road and mtb XC and downhill. You can even start watching a live broadcast an hour so behind it's start and chose to watch from the beginning rather than live, I've done it when a race has been 3/4 hours in already.

Fair comment @CWS73 but come 1st March 2025 that won't be the case unless you have Discovery+ Premium with TNT Sports
So it's just of matter of wait and see after the closure of Eurosport 1&2 in the UK & Ireland.

I think that will stay the same, we all just have to pay for those who want the football and F1.
For all the cycling I watch and the superbikes, I would have happily paid £10/15 per month for it, as I'm watching cycling all year round and there's a lot of it. The TV and mobile app is need some improvement but the coverage is very good.

That should read 28th February
as clearly indicated at the top of this link

Starting 28 February, TNT Sports channels 1 - 4 will replace Eurosport linear channels 1 & 2 in the UK and Ireland
I think the point here is "linear channels" will the on demand still be available? I have asked this question when they first broke the news, no one as a definitive answer.......

Only with a TNT/D+ premium subscription.

From the end of February the cost of D+ (which I currently subscribe to) is going to increase to over £30 per month. The standard package will cease to exist as will eurosport. The cycling will be available on TNT. My point (and that of the original poster) is that there doesn't seem to be any reasonably priced packages that include TNT. I suppose you could say the price was fair if you watch all sport but my husband literally only watches road cycling and occasionally cyclo-cross. He especially hates football, darts, snooker, rugby etc with a passion.

Afaik the on demand will also move to standard , so there will be nothing sport related on the basic tier apart from the occasional sports programming on the quest channel

I think the answer is a bit more nuanced, some thinsg being not perfectly clear yet.
But it does seem, from reading the press release and comments by WBD, that some of the stuff broadcast live on ES1/2 will be broadcast live but just on TNT Sorts 1-4. And some will be only through red button / Disco+ online.. I dont think iots teh case that all current ES 1+2 content is now getting shoved on red button / Disco+...some of it will be braodcast on the linear TNT Sports 1-4.
You can sort of tell this from the statement, which said they'd looked carefully at scheduling, clashes etc etc - my best guess is that, at a minimum, Eurosports major assets - bigger cycling events, French / Australina Open tennis, will be definitely linear live on TNT Sports 1-4, and possibly some winter sorts. They're simply not going to shove all ES contnet on red button / app only.

Thanks for all the replies confirming the bad news for cycling fans. I immediately contacted Sky to cancel my subscription (which was mid-term) stating that I only subscribed for Eurosport linear feeds, and without to much deliberation they allowed me to cancel! (removed) There are other options out there! But shouldn't discuss it here.
MODERATOR NOTE: Inappropriate remark removed.

I have recently had Sky installed (Dec 24) and have sky sports as part of my package. This includes Eurosport 1 and 2 which I watch quite a lot for the snooker and other sport. Eurosport annouced recently that from the end of this month (Feb 2025), they will be going over to TNT sports 1 and 2. These are additional cost chanels so will they become part of the Sky sport package as it's not really fair to have to pay for something over which we have no control.
