Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreNo they won't. This was a decision made by Warner Brothers Discovery and NOT Sky. I have moved your post into a thread discussing this topic.

I have recently had Sky installed (Dec 24) and have sky sports as part of my package. This includes Eurosport 1 and 2 which I watch quite a lot for the snooker and other sport. Eurosport annouced recently that from the end of this month (Feb 2025), they will be going over to TNT sports 1 and 2. These are additional cost chanels so will they become part of the Sky sport package as it's not really fair to have to pay for something over which we have no control.
@DJM8 just to clarify Eurosport isn't and has never been part of the sky sports package they are within the base package of channels
however regardless of this the answer given to you by @Daniel0210 is correct and still stands

Thank you for your reply. As I said I am new to Sky and certainly have no idea who owns (or has the rights to) different channels. Eurosport was included in the package that they sold to me and now it is going over to TNT which has to be paid for. At no point did Sky explain to me that if any channels move to their owners, you will have to pay for them. Far too technical for the simple question I asked but thanks anyway.

Bad news for anyone with a Sky hd plus box who do not want Sky Q.

I think you were very lucky getting a cancellation (were you person who rang them at 9pm?). I have just tried to cancel but would need to pay a cancellation charge of 62% of what I would pay if I kept my package.

The thing about the RED BUTTON service is of course you can not record. I know,I know the app s the thing now but Discovery + is so slow to load and is not worth the £ 30.99 p a month thatb you will have to pay from the beginning of March. Also I understand that the RED BUTTON service by T.N.T. Sports is not avaliable on SKY Q box*s. Is this true? I enjoyed the summer olympics via Amazon. Sadly I believe all sports will be taken off Discovery + by Amazon Prime Video from 1st March. A great shame indeed.

I always watch Discovery+ on my Firestick and it a lot slicker than version on Stream. No need to record.

I believe you are still entitled to cancel when there's a price increase, unless that's now been removed. I've used this before and ended up getting a better deal.
13 Feb 2025 05:43 PM
Think I read that this only applies if the increase is greater than 10% and the next increase is 6%

You can VoD and D+ has all the cycling to watch, from track, CX, road and mtb XC and downhill. You can even start watching a live broadcast an hour so behind it's start and chose to watch from the beginning rather than live, I've done it when a race has been 3/4 hours in already.
Fair comment @CWS73 but come 1st March 2025 that won't be the case unless you have Discovery+ Premium with TNT Sports
So it's just of matter of wait and see after the closure of Eurosport 1&2 in the UK & Ireland.
That should read 28th February
as clearly indicated at the top of this link
Fair comment @SKY1992bf sorry should have been more specific with my reply but hey ho stand corrected
Yes the channels are closing on the 28th February 2025 as clearly indicated top of the link
If all Eurosport content is moving to TNT wouldn't that also mean the VOD content as the Discovery+ Basic with ads doesn't include sports
They say the channels are closing on the 28th February no specific time is given hence why I mentioned the 1st March 2025
So again it's a matter of wait and see.
But thank you for correcting me @SKY1992bf

Some really strange comments on here and in line with community guidelines I will say no more!! Interestingly having looked at the motorsports calendar I decided to wait until after this weekends Australian Superbike races before signing up for TNT but it looks like even though Eurosport will technically still be on air the bikes have already been scheduled on TNT so had to sign up now

Yes. As predicted. As far as the 4 T.N.T. Sports channels are concerned,All Winter Sports behind the Red Button. Cycling,Snooker and The French and Austrlian Open Tennis On the 4 T.N.T. Sports Liner channels. A further question if I may if I buy two fire sticks does the brand matter? and for my two L.G. Smart T.V.*s I would need two firesticks?

Well since only Amazon make fire sticks, I think you'll struggle to find a second brand. Yes you'd need two as they plug direct into the hdmi socket. There is no link between them.

Hi does anybody know if TNT Sports will be broadcasting Live Major League Baseball this year as they are still showing archive programme from MLB so i guess they still have the rights to it.
