Why has my land line phone stopped working since I moved to sky. I don't wish to dial out to be honest I use mobile. However occasionally someone needs to call me on land line. The only way it work is old fashioned phone plugged directly into the back of the hob which is not what I want
I want walk around phones plugged into the original wall phone sockets

That's not possible. As with all providers Sky are moving to internet calls, which means landline calls are passed via the internet.
Best solution would be to invest in a wireless DECT phone, where the base station plugs into the Hub, and you can have as many handsets as you wish placed where you want them.

Thanks for answer. I did wonder if something like this may be the reason
but surely Sky as my provider should have contacted me about this not just stopped my phones working 😡

I've not switched to Sky so no experience of this, but had assumed there was something in your sign-up confirmation or the Hub set up instructions which indicates that you have internet calls and need to plug your phone into the Hub.
