Not able to bring old landline number

Hi, I switched over to Sky from Now broadband today but I noticed I have been allocated a new landline number istead of keeping my old one. As per ofcom rules, this should be possible. Can you please help in getting my old landline number reassigned?

Sky can't and don't 'guarantee' you can keep your number and now you've been allocated a new one I think that's the old one gone now.

Yep, I'm afraid Sky won't be able to retrieve it. Where it's possible Sky can only port the number as part of your switch to them,  not after the event.
