Sky banner

The sky banner now appears at the start and finish of every break. Can I stop this?

Hi @Atthur

Thank you for bringing to our attention I have sent this off to be investigated and will get back to you as soon as I have more information.

EDIT - can you confirm if this was content you were watching on demand or live?

Is this on Channel 401 by any chance or is it happening on a different channel ?

You can't fix it btw as Sky will need to investigate it.

Re: Sky banner

Noticed this too. It's currently doing it whilst watching 106 live.

Banner keeps popping up at ad break.

Hello,

I was just watching the Ashes on skysports today and every time there is an ad break the banner (what's currently on and next) pops up at the bottom of the screen.

Anyone else had this problem and any fixes?

I took the plug out and left it for 1 minute and it still does this.

None of the other channels are doing this.

Thanks.

1 minute is far too short, try at least 5 minutes

@pallminder

This is being looked into by Sky so rebooting will not fix it.

The fix is to watch the cricket on Channel 404 and avoid channel 401 for the time being.

Re: Sky banner

This is happening now, watching FROM on 106. Really annoying. I thought it was because I'd set a series link reminder, but even after deleting it, it's still happening.

Re: Sky banner

I just switched to Sky Sci-Fi HD - 139 -  (didn't realise it was also on there too) and it's not happening on that channel.

Re: Sky banner

Additional update....

This appears to be happening on recorded content too. During playback, instead of having the whole banner before and after ad breaks, you are presented with the blue image (bottom left of screen) that you get when you pause/fast forward with the minute counter in the middle.

Got this for both Blue Bloods and The Good Doctor last night.

Re: Sky banner

Same thing has just started on my set. Watching test match on Ch 401. I haven't noticed it happening on any other channels yet
