Hello all
Happy Christmas.
I have a Very old sky+ HD box that no longer lets me view "on demand" programs
I spoke to Sky yesterday and they were unable to fix the issue due to the age of my box.
I am looking for a new (or as new) one, with 2TB memory and NO WiFi. Can anyone please help/recommend and tell me where I can find one.
Another issue is that I think I will lose all my saved programs on the current box - unless there is a wizard on this forum who knows how to save / transfer them to the new box.
Lastly, I have Sky MultiRoom (2 boxes). I need advice as to how to pair the new box with the other

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou won't be able to pair your Viewing Card with a replacement box. That facility was withdrawn a couple of months ago.
Tell us more about the On Demand issue? Perhaps we can help. It's convenient for Sky to say you have to upgrade.

As Mark indicates, it's no longer possible to replace Sky+HD boxes as Sky have withdrawn the ability to transfer the viewing card between boxes. If your issue with On Demand can't be fixed you would have to switch to Sky Q (to remain a satellite customer) or Sky Stream (which is very different and works via internet).

Hi Mark39
It seems that my TV WiFi NetGear hub is not connecting to my broadband router. Got a friend working on it now 🤞

Dear All
On-demand issue now fixed - thank you
And thank you too for advising me of the removal of the Multi Room pairing by Sky.
In light of this I am now asking if either Sky Stream or Sky Q will enable this to be resumed - but I believe that neither of these new services allow Live recording.
Hey ho
Best Regards to all - and thanks in advance for any new advice

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Valerie65 glad you got the On Demand issue fixed. Both Sky Q and Sky Stream allow multi room (with Sky Stream you'll need a good broadband speed to accommodate both the main tv and and any multi room tv).
Only Sky Q has a built-in recording service.
With Sky Stream everything, live and on demand is - well - streamed.

As others have said SKY Q does allow recording similar to SKY HD, however it is slightly different to SKY HD multiscreen in that all recordings are stored on the (1) main box
You may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q
SKY +/HD to SKY Q where I mention this

I'm afraid not @steve0070 , as it is Sky Q, Glass or Stream from Sky now.

No, not for a very long time. And you won't be able to use any Sky+ box you source for yourself either, I'm afraid.
