Reactivate denied

Just rang sky CS to reactivate sky+HD 2TB box but was told not possible and would have to upgrade to sky q

After reading posts here, it seems sky+HD is still good,

is the advisor misinformed?

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream

This is correct, you cannot get a New Sky+ subscription/reactivation any more

New subscription (which would include a reactivation after a period of non-subscription) hasn't been available on Sky+ for several years.  Ongoing continuous renewal is still possible, but Sky is making a determined push to convince users to migrate to Q.
