Always re pair my sky box when using my sky box in holiday home but no longer able to do this through the link

That's never been a legitimate thing to do, and Sky now actively blocks it for Sky+ HD boxes.

Why would anyone need to do it to Sky Q boxes that are only available on loan?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhether or not Sky have taken action previously it's still a breach of the terms and conditions a customer has agreed to. It would appear Sky weren't happy with customers flaunting the rules.
I'm afraid that the bottom line is that since the end of October 2024 you can no longer pair a viewing card to a Sky+ box it was not paired to at that time. That includes Sky+/HD boxes at other homes, or a box aquiried elsewhere to replace a faulty box.

Yes ...Sky have changed the policy to increase the conversions from Sky+ HD to Sky Q or Sky Stream🤔
It will help to end those on legacy packs😉

You can take out a separate subscription but not for Sky+/HD. You'd need Sky Q, Stream or Glass.
