Hi @Rick2168uk and welcome to the forum.
To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Community Messaging Team who will send you an invitation for an online chat.

Keep a look out for the speech chat bubble that will appear on the bottom left of your screen when you are logged onto this forum (you will need to refresh your browser from time to time until you see the chat bubble). When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or the chat will be automatically closed. Note replies from Sky are not instant so you will need to regularly check the chat thread.

This error can happen when your puck is still showing in a delivery state and not yet switched over to a delivered state.
You mention you are a new customer.
Has your Sky Stream just arrived today?
If so, wait a good few hours, restart the puck and see if the activation for the apps works.
To restart your Sky Stream box
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete
Sky Stream with two pucks (Former Sky Q and Sky+ customer), Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Protect kit tester.

Thank you for your reply. I've had it for roughly a week but this is my first time trying paramount plus. I've tried resetting a few times without any joy.
Is there anything else I can try?

I've escalated this to Sky and they should be in touch with you soon about it.
Look out for a message from Sky on your email and Sky Community private messages.
Look out for the blue chat bubble within your Sky community.

Hi guys, I'm also having the same issue, I get a mysky_2018 error when going to skyshop to activate discovery+ and paramount +

I’ve escalated your posts to a Sky Expert who may be in touch with you later!
Look out for a coloured chat bubble on the bottom-left of your screen. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and join a private chat with the Sky Expert. If you don't respond within 48 hours, the chat will automatically close. Replies from Sky Experts aren’t instant, so please check the coloured chat bubble regularly.
