for the volume you may need to reset and repair your remote

 

  1. Press and hold 7 and 9 together for 3 seconds.
  2. Press and hold 1 and 3 together for 3 seconds.
  3. follow the onscreen instructions.

I have tried everything that has been suggested the volume is still not working but all the other buttons are. Need help

I tried pressing button seven and nine and then one and three the volume button is still not working. I'll change the batteries restarted the skybox the other buttons on the remote are working but the volume isn't!!!! Yet another problem with sky seems to be a weekly thing

Got same problem with volume button not working on new sky Q box tried what others have done still nothing how have others fixed it

@HarryMcM sort out what? The remotes need programming to control a TV as explained in the post marked as the answer Sky cant do that remotely.

Hi

I don't know if you or anyone else figured this issue but part of the answer is missing...a crucial part actually!

It's no good just pressing 17 and 9 and 1 and 3 etc.

You need a code too.

The solution however is as follows:

On your tv from your Sky Home page, Go down to Settings then set up then set up remote to control TV then it'll ask you to find your tv from the list. Then follow the info
