On the rare occasion I've seen the sound out of sync turning the puck into standby mode and then back on has fixed it for me. The other option is to unplug it for a minute if that doesn't help.
for the volume you may need to reset and repair your remote

I have tried everything that has been suggested the volume is still not working but all the other buttons are. Need help

I tried pressing button seven and nine and then one and three the volume button is still not working. I'll change the batteries restarted the skybox the other buttons on the remote are working but the volume isn't!!!! Yet another problem with sky seems to be a weekly thing

I don't know if you or anyone else figured this issue but part of the answer is missing...a crucial part actually!
It's no good just pressing 17 and 9 and 1 and 3 etc.
You need a code too.
The solution however is as follows:
On your tv from your Sky Home page, Go down to Settings then set up then set up remote to control TV then it'll ask you to find your tv from the list. Then follow the info

Handset stopped controlling volume and mute on Streaming. Received new puck. No different. Have spent 3.5 hours on phone trying to sort this out......so they are sending me another puck?! No doubt that will be the same. Original puck was unable to lip sync properly on some channels and kept pixelating as well. AND whilst watching sky sports on two boxes in the same house at the same time on live tv one was a good 20 seconds behind?'?!?!. And streaming is not supported by engineers....I'm not one but expected to get it to work. Crap product.

Cancelling is likely an option, if you're unhappy with the product?

I have just started a new 24 month contract with SKY. I have two new pucks for my 2023 Samsung and Toshiba TVs. I went through the set up procedure and the SKY remote was working perfectly and was able to control the volume on both my TVs.
However, two days later and neither remote is able to control the volume! I contacted SKY and was told there was a compatibility issue. I explained that they were both working perfectly on the initial set up. The SKY representative stated that there may have been an upgrade, on either the TVs or SKY. Either way, the remove is no longer compatible and I will have to use the TVs own remote to control the volume.
To say I am not happy is an understatement. I thought upgrades were meant to imrove the service, not make it worse! What happens when there is another 'upgrade' and I lose the ability to use other features on my remotes?
Clearly this is an issue that SKY need to address. I have a 14 day cooling-off period. I may make use of it.
