Re: Sky stream - is it really this rubbish??

It's pretty much down for everyone at the moment so it's unlikely you'll get any service. We've just reverted to the TV for now.

Sky stream outage in my area

outage started last night and we still cant get the puck to stream tv. Sky still says there is an outage and they are working on fixing. How long will this take? Unable to watch most of the channels live! Couldn't watch Traitors live!!! This is worse than Virgin. I would appreciate knowing when we will get tv back

Re: TV programmes disappeared

If Sky paid compensation to everybody that has been affected by this or any other unplanned outage then your monthly bill would have to increase to pay for it!

Nothing is, or can be made 100% reliable, faults will happen.

Let's be reasonable.

Re: TV programmes disappeared

Mate, I pay £80+ per month. I think that in exchange for this, regular and reliable access to the service I pay for is a reasonable expectation.

If you went to the supermarket for your weekly shop and they charged you for the can of beans that you want but are not in stock I think that you would not be of the opinion that the supermarket were being reasonable because "nothing is, or can be made 100% reliable", no?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Let's put the compensation question into perspective.  I currently pay £50.60 per month for my viewing packages.  October has 31 days so I am actually paying £1.63 per day which equates to  £0.07p per hour (rounded up).   The outage was about 4 hours so am I really going to bother requesting compensation for the measly sum of £0.28p.  It would cost Sky more than that in administration.

I just watched catchup TV last night so never even noticed the outage.

Re: Pictures freezing and now few channels

A reboot usually solves the pixelation issues, but you shouldn't have to do it every month which seems standard

Re: Tv guide not working

Thanks for letting me know.
I had checked if there was an update by sky somewhere. Do they not let their customers know at all? Not on sky Ireland help X anyway or anywhere I could find.
