Sky stream playback programmes keep jumping back

First race of the season and the first time being a sky customer and I've got this issue with my F1 playlist recordings.

Had nothing but issues with live F1 channel and now F1 recordings and it's the only reason I got sky in the first place. 

Hugely frustrating and the my sky app just sends you in circles trying to fault find and read not related FAQ's 

How are you guys getting support on whats app? I'd really like these issues to be documented on my account but working all week make sitting on support line not practical

They've sent me a new puck now (tried WhatsApp support again and the person didn't lie to me this time at least) but I don't see how new hardware will resolve a software issue...

The help wizard thing on the app/website is utterly useless as you say. 

This is a known software issue by Sky. No date given on a fix.

Interestingly I watched the Australian F1 practice sessions on catch-up last night (although the UI to eventually find them is terrible) and there were no ads at all. I wondered if they have just disabled some apps temporarily until they fix the issue.

Same, FP1 didn't have any ads but all sessions since have ads and this bug is prevalent in all of them.

Just had a nice call with support about this. They say the problem has been identified and a fix found and it will be in the next update. Sticking point being they don't know when that update will be live. 

I'm in a good haggling position as I'm a new customer still within my cooling off period so I pointed this out and they've given me 2 months ad skipping for free to hopefully resolve this issue in the short term until it's fixed their end.

So for others it might be worth calling up and seeing what they can do. I've always found things get fixed quicker when they are having to give out freebies to compensate customers

There is another thread that covers this subject more extensively, it appears to be a software problem according to Sky, so new hardware will not fix it . I am having the very same problems with SkyStream.

F1 Australia's Chequered Flag is barely watchable because of this issue. If it's a known issue they should be enabling ad skipping for everyone affected until the issue is solved.

I get that it's completely different technology but never had such an issue on Sky+. Stream should have been launched when it was at feature parity.

I'm having the same problem. 
Cant play anything from F1 from my playlist. 

Its all on catch up though.
