My issue is with playing back programmes on my playlist.
Although I have also noticed the same issue that you describe, it's very frustrating.
I will look to change provider if these issues aren't addressed. Seems like a lot of users are having the same problems.
At least it's not 'just me' having problems.

I'm having the same problem. Can't watch any sport on playback without it happening which is the main reason we are paying for Sky. Not impressed

It's an ad server issue, which is annoying: essentially, the problem arises when Sky superimpose their own adverts over breaks in the sports schedule. I've now reproduced the issue with sport on TNT, Premier, and Virgin One so it's not just a Sports + package problem. When I finally got to a human on the Sky tech support chat, I was told that if I paid an additional fee to skip the playlist ads, the problem would go away. So, it's a self-induced problem due to poor ad integration, and one that I strongly suspect Sky could fix in a heartbeat if they simply screened the original ad-breaks rather than attempting to extract revenue from them twice.
If it isn't addressed quickly, I suspect I'll be cancelling my subscription at the end of the rugby season (it's not worth changing now), and moving to a provider that genuinely understands their technology stack.

This is still a problem. The person from Sky helping me told me to do a forced reboot which didn't help. Then try a factory reset which also hasn't helped. It still goes back to the previous section after the ad break. They suggested o needed a new puck but the conversation I was having has now disappeared after a few days so I need contact again please
there is little point having the Sky subscription if this can't be made to work. I shouldn't have to pay for ad skipping to make the functionality I am paying for work.

I have the same issues as both of you. Playlist items get to an ad break, play the ads, then it starts playing the same part of the programme you have just watched. And, some live channels such as F1 freeze or start looping the same few seconds until you have changed channel and back again. It's terrible. Sky have no solution to this, having tried a line reset, puck update and changing picture to 1080i.
Did either of you solve these issues?

No not resolved yet. They sent me a new puck but had the same problem. Can't successfully watch a sports programme all the way through on playback.

Don't know why they sent you a new puck, at more cost to thereselves, it's obviously a software error, issue is Sky recognising this and then correcting the fault!!!! 🫣

Hello,
I had exactly the same issue when watching the darts last night, ITVX kept jumping back half an hour or so each and every time adverts finished.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all,
I am having the same issue, and now Sky support are telling me over WhatsApp that if I want to be able to fast-forward through content (not ad-breaks), I have to pay for the ad-skipping. Surely that can't be right?
03 Mar 2025 12:18 PM
Utter nonsense. It's a bug that's due to be fixed with the next release of software apparently.
04 Mar 2025 01:09 PM
No it's not right. You have to watch the ads if you don't pay out shouldn't have to pay to skip them just because their software gets Stuck in a loop. We are paying for a service that clearly isn't working properly for lots of people.

Hi all,
I have recently got Sky Stream and I am also being plagued by this issue. Specifically when watching F1 replays, but I've not tested other sports yet.
Has there been any updates from Sky on a fix for this? It clearly isn't a one off issue with the puck itself.
