Sky stream can’t restart a program & automatically fast forwarding

My Sky Stream has stopped me being able to restart programmes from the beginning once they have started I've always been able to do this - mainly seems to be ITV 1 & Channel 4 (BBC is working)

I've reset the puck & also tried unplugging the TV

 

Also another recent issue on the playlist, programmes are starting & fast forwarding automatically & moving onto the next programme BBC IPlayer & ITVX

Just checked a few channels & mine is still working. Such a pain it's good when it's working well!!

The Watch from Start was an issue back in April, that did get fixed by Sky.

Have not seen any reoccurrence of it mentioned on here of late.

Just tried this morning and both are working fine for me.

You say you have tried a reset, was that a settings restart in the Puck settings?

Yes I noticed the former thread but, it's a current issue for me. I've done a standard reset of the Sky stream puck just read there's a hard factory reset so I'll try that 

 

Good to know Sky are aware of the fast forwarding issue

We have been advised by Sky to tell customers not to perform a factory reset, unless Sky have requested or you are on a call or chat with Sky when doing so.

It can apparently cause some account issues, that only Sky can resolve.

 

What we can do, is request a Sky community escalation for you, that is chat based for your first issue.

I have the same problem that wasn't an issue a few days ago. Did it get resolved for you and if so how did they manage it?

Hi Sky helped me with the recovery process  & sent instructions unfortunately the issue is still the same I've now been asked to complete a secure form so Sky can acccess the account.

Thanks for the update, seems really strange that it just went in the space of 24 hours. Was a really useful thing that will be missed. If possible please keep me updated with any improvements but hopefully if you are able to get it fixed, sky will fix it for everyone at the same time.

Mine is working normally this morning. I don't know if it's due to my reset or if Sky have done anything in the background. Hope yours is working too

Don't know what is happening on your TV but my watch from start was working perfectly fine earlier, just tried it and it doesn't seem to be working again.

Seems to be working on some channels and not on others, have you tried it on one of the I channels? It definitely worked on these channels last week but have stopped on my TV for some reason.
