Running a Sky puck through a Denon Amp

How do I run a Sky puck through a Denon amp? I keep getting a message saying HDMI2 is searching. Sky flashes up then goes again.

@Boydy12  Does your amp support HDMI 2.2?   If not you will likley struggle with the stream puck through the amp.  have you checled the user manual for the amp?

What is the model number of the amp?

PS i've moved you post from the Glass TV board as this isn't a Glass TV issue

@Boydy12

As @GD1 indicates, the AVR has to be capable of supporting the resolution, video encryption format and image frequency of the puck HDMI output: many older models won't be able to do UHD pass-through.

The alternative is to run the puck straight to the television set and then connect the television back to the Denon over either HDMI-ARC or optical audio.
