@Littletaffia wrote:@Padam_Padam Yes. Full subscription. All connections go through my Denon AVR and I can get full HDR to the TV from Apple TV+ puck as well as a Denon DBT-3313 blu ray player and Pioneer LX500 4K player. As I said previously House of Dragons had Atmos on episode 1 but no Atmos on episode 2 and no HDR on either episode.
I had no issues with UHD or HDR with my Denon AVR when I had a Stream puck.
Check your HDMI cables. Make sure all of them are high speed - the one going from puck to AVR and the one going from AVR to TV.
Make sure the HDMI port on the Denon is enabled for full bandwidth video pass-through.
Give everything a reboot - TV, AVR and puck, by turning them all off at the wall for a minute, then power back on to re-engage the HDMI handshake.
Try connecting the puck direct to the TV and use ARC or eARC for audio to the AVR. This will rule out an issue with the puck itself.

@Padam_Padam Checked the HDMI lead by swopping it with the lead from my Apple TV which I know is working for full HDR. I know the HDMI from the AVR to the TV is fully working as it produces full HDR from the connected 4K player and the Apple TV. Plus I used the same input on the AVR that Apple uses which I know is fully functional.
I don't like hot plugging so all connected devices were switched off. Plugging the old HDMI lead back in to Stream and I checked House of Dragons again, this time short bursts of the first three episodes. Episode 1 no HDR, but Atmos soundtrack. Episode 2 HDR but no Atmos, Episode 3 HDR with Atmos. Episode 2 prior to this morning had neither HDR or Atmos but I'm more interested in getting HDR back. I only watched the intro to episode 3 and checked Atmos on the AVR and HDR on the TV which both showed them to be working.
Tried Netflix, HDR but lip sync well out. Again I'm not worried with Netflix via Sky because of the lack of Atmos and always watch on Apple as both PQ and SQ are superior and is 100% reliable.
With HDMI cables they either work or they don't. A poor cable will not pass 4K signals both Atmos doesn't need a 'high speed' cable as HDMI 2.0 is perfectly capable of passing full fat 4K and Atmos. So I know it's not a cable fault, nor is it a fault with the Denon or the TV. I may very well have a flaky Stream puck and will keep an eye on it over the next few days. $ky at the moment is getting money for old rope as far as I'm concerned.

I use certified HDMI 2.1 cables which cost less than £10 from Amazon on all my kit now, which is overkill, but they work well with all my devices including a Panasonic 4K Blu-Ray player and Apple TV 4K box. Could be you have a dodgy puck or you're connected to a sluggish Sky server. Tricky to say for sure.

Thank you. Helpful. It seems to me lots of Sky customers having this problem and probably because of cheaply produced puk. Thus us not doing their reputation any good.

I had the same issues. Hav you made sure that both the puck and your TV are set to pass through? This solved it for me.

Thank you. What is "pass through"?

On your puck, go down to:
Settings
Picture and sound
Sound
Digital audio output HDMI
And select Passthrough
On your TV, go to sound settings
Find the digital sound output setting and change this to Passthrough

Again thank you. Tried Pass through on Puc and makes a big difference. Haven't tried this in TV yet...fingers crossed. Thanks.

Have just noticed I have the same issue, I'll read through previous replies for any advice.
My setup is simple, puck is connected to TV, no soundbar or amp etc involved. Ill chceck if its a TV issue by watching something on the Xbox.

Were having issues on one of our pucks as well, other seem fine however, LG TV and HiSense soundbar.
Sync issues only appear to be on live TV however, using the pucks netflix app for instance is fine.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@platinumjsi If you have not already tried it change the settings on the offending puck to PCM or passthrough.

Passthrough worked great for about 3 hours, but suddenly its back now after an ad break

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@platinumjsi My own lip sync issues stopped when my puck was updated to QS028 but before that I found Dolby Digital Plus worked for my setup. Although this is not the usual solution it worked for me so it's worth a try.
Good luck.
