Re: Sky puck lip sync issue

Hi All, I have got to admit with the latest update everything is now working fine. No issues what's so ever.

Re: Sky Stream Audio Sync Issues

I had this issue on Sky Puck, there is an adjustment in 'settings-picture and sound-sound-digital audio delay HDMI' from there you can adjust the delay in increments of 20ms, worked for me (increased 40ms)

Re: Sky puck lip sync issue

Same as everyone else, Sony Bravia tv, Bose Smart Soundbar and the puck, have it on have it on auto setting.

Has been nothing but problems, not sure if the new Apple TV continuous audio connection is what we need.

Onto my playlist first this morning something on Channel 5 and it started using the tv speakers again with the lip sync problem.

Got it back onto the soundbar, there is a very slight sync issue, Apple TV is brand new so hence suspect the puck at fault.

The Apple TV continous audio connection will have nothing to do with how your Stream puck sends audio to the TV.

Try setting the puck's audio output to Dolby Digital+ or passthrough and see if that makes any difference. Make sure you use a high speed HDMI cable between the eARC ports on your TV and the soundbar so that full bandwidth audio can be passed.

Re: Sky puck lip sync issue

I think the point was that if Sky were to implement a continuous audio connection similar to the one Apple have just launched, that might solve the issues.

I doubt it. tvOS merely wraps different audio formats into a Dolby MAT container for continuous audio on the Apple TV box.

Stream pucks can convert audio to DD, DD+ or PCM and output that single format continuously.

The lip sync issue is more likely down to the added latency introduced by the server-based SkyOS. The puck has limited RAM and can struggle to maintain accurate sync when a lot of data is coming down from the server which it has to process and output.
