My Sky Puck updated from software build: QS020.009.00P to QS021.005.00P recently and I immediately noticed that audio on everything is now skightly delayed. I've always had my sound setting of Digital audio delay HDMI set to 0ms which it still is. The problem which as I say hasn't been an issue with previous builds until this QS021 build is also not fixable with this sound setting as the audio is already delayed from the visual and this setting can only increase the delay.
Anyone else noticed this? I am quite sensitive to sync issues and it drives me nuts.
Id like this to be reported to the Sky STREAM tech team really so they are aware and can look in to it.

It's probably about 40-60ms out. So we're not talking whole words off but it's noticeable to me immediately since this update. I do know some people just don't see audio sync issues unless its really really off.

@Paul+Dray @Could it be your audio equipment?

What that went wrong exactly as the sky puck updated its software? No.
No problems with my audio equipment.

No one else has mentioned it, that's all

As I said before not everybody is sensitive to slight audio sync delays. I am and can tell it's been slightly out since this update. Was perfectly fine before it and zero has changed my end. I'm a techie nerd too so know what I'm doing. We'll see what happens in the next update.

Hey,
I've had 2 conversations with Sky Technical today (both guys were amiable and helpful) and a decision was made to replace one of my 2 pucks.
FW 21 removed some audio channels from my TV's optical out. Keeping Audio Settings at Auto meant that voice and/or surround audio was missing. What appeared random across channels was probably dependent on how that channel's audio at the time was encoded. Lip sync has also been affected; to the degree that corrections were required on a channel-by-channel basis. Not acceptable.
(Separate point, How can you make an accurate delay adjustment without seeing the stream...)
I have now partially isolated the issue as one connected to Digital Audio Delay HDMI. Alter the audio sync, and alter the audio stream output. And separately Audio Passthrough is disabled.
I must add that of my 2 pucks (both set up the same way) only one has faulted.
I always compare the Stream performance with the Apple TV box; a bit of kit that seems to operate flawlessly. Sky Stream has a long way to go.
But Sky is sending a puck via DHL for a swap tomorrow. Good news. We'll see if a hardware change addresses the issue.
Regards,
Daz

Come back and let me know if the new puck resolves the issues
EDIT: Intrestingly I've just changed my pucks sound setting from Dolby Digital to PCM Stereo and the lip sync issue isn't a problem in this audio output. (I'm using Sky News channel for lip sync checking).

Anyone having lip sync issues today? Haven't had any prior to this for 4 months and haven't changed anything setup wise but it's absolutely awful today. Can be anywhere up to 3-5 seconds out on certain channels.
Thanks.

Thanks, although my puck hasn't updated like the original post.
It starts off fine but then it goes out if sync after around 2/3 minutes and continues to get worse. Is doing it on every app as well, not just the Sky TV channels.
