Thank you for the reply. Its when i am watching The Forsytes. It freezes in first set of adverts. I can skip through ads as i don't pay for ad free. I suspect they want the extra ad free revenue so will not rush to fix!

Can you also please report to VR as in my post above, mentioning that programme and episodes affected.

I'm having this issue too, is there a successful fix yet? I can request the programme it plays one advert and then says the app has got a problem and I need to restart it. I've restarted, refreshed apps etc any other suggestions?? Thanks

Hi @01Pk001 I believe this is a glitch with episode 3 glitch as I was able to watch episodes 1 and 2 of the Forsytes with no issues but watched episode 3 yesterday and after every set of adverts it produced an error message saying there was a problem.  I persevered and finally managed to watch the entire episode.  I reported it to ViewerR@sky.uk

Ive reported Murder Before Evensong as i couldnt get past the adverts. Tried again tonight Ep4 and didnt even get to the opening credits.

Hi @YorkshirePete it appears as though there is some issue between Sky and Ch5 at the moment.  I refreshed my apps but it made no difference.

 

The more people that report these issues to Viewer Relation the better as they will be more likely to put a rush on fixing it.

Yes that was my thought. Maybe there is an update that my5 hasn't released to Sky yet ?

Every time I play something, I get The Adverts, and then it comes up.Restart app , before the\nFilm or serious start i try it on my fire stick and  it working  great so it got be on the sky  streaming service

Hi @Kennth+hill  Since my post above (post 3)  I have also encountered problems with the Channel 5 App.  I tried refreshing the apps as as I suggested but it didn't help so I reported the issue to Viewer Relations (viewerR@Sky.uk)

 

There seems to be a glitch with certain episodes of some channel 5 programmes. I was able to watch episodes 1 and 2 of the Forsytes with no issues but watched episode 3 yesterday and after every set of adverts it produced an error message saying there was a problem and I should restart the app.  I have seen other reports relating to the Forsytes as well as Murder Before Evensong (both Ch5).

 

I would suggest that, as I did,  you also report the problem to ViewerR@sky.uk giving as much information as possible such as the App,  programme name, episode number, any error messages etc.  The more people that report it the better.

This last week i have had no luck at all with Channel 5 app. Tried to watch a certain programme and it just kept reporting an issue and telling me to restart app ... it did let me watch a different programme briefly but since then just gets to whatever i want to watch and stops with the "restart app" message ..

Seems this has been happening for a while, has there been no answer from sky or channel 5 yet?

I have the same issues on Sky Stream, notably on the My5 and ITVx apps.

They work fine via Freeview, so it is definitely within the Sky app.

Restarting and refreshing the apps has not cured the problem unfortunately.
