Ad Free Skipping Black Friday Deal

Hi, just joined sky, I have just bought the ad free skipping, I got the £0 for the first 4 months but it says I will be charged from next month, will this automatically be corrected? Also how long does it take to activate as I don't have email saying it been added and I still can't skip adverts on itv and channel 4 ect, thanks

Ad skipping lets you fast forward through ads on the ITV X and Channel 4 apps, you won't get a skip ad button like you do on on-demand content for Sky programmes.

Thanks. Yes on itvx I have tried to fast forward the ads and it says not available, surely I should have got an email though saying I have changed my package though

Funnily enough i don't think you do get an email when its home set-up packages, i think you only get them on content pack changes.

 

As i received emails when i make changes like add/remove TNT sports on a monthly basis, but i've never once received it when i've done the same thing for ad-skipping.

Ah I see thanks for the info, it's still not letting me forward or skip adds on anything at all, does anyone know a phone number for sky as I can't find one at all, it's not very easy to find it haha

Any change in your add on packages will be shown as an addition at the bottom of your future billing month.

It will also on future bills show the pack and its cost.

You pay your bill a month I advance, hence  why it appears on a future bill.

 

Also, have a look in your MySky under Messages, as any change in your packs will be reflected there.

So it turns out that the Black Friday deal £0 for 4 months doesn't exist and cannot be done even though it's on the offer list in the mysky app I have, finally got it to work though but I was charged £6 a month, good job I phoned them, not helpful at all though and they wouldn't give me it for the 4 months though for free so not a very good start for sky which is a shame

Yes I have done they said it's not a live promotion at the minute which I think is a lie but I will live without it

Best bet then is to cancel ad skipping via your My Sky app at the earliest opportunity, (30 days notice). And the day it finishes check your My Sky app and see if you get an offer. If not, no problem, you can add it back on.

Yes I was told to do that but wouldn't have minded the 4mths for £0 especially over Christmas time

The ad skipping is always on offer, I've never paid full price.
