Paramount + freezing and error codes

Constant problems watching paramount plus. Keep having to turn off tv and sky and router to unfreeze screen or resolve error codes. Freezes at adverts and then we get an error code. When we finally managed to get it working again, it has started playing the next episode of the series and then it won't play the previous one. Seems to be worse on my sky glass than on my smart tv. Need help, I am trying desperately to watch 1923 and will end up watching it on my phone at this rate as that seems to be the only place it works!

Hi @Kim2125 if you sometimes get it on your Smart Tv too (although not as much) it sounds like a problem on Paramount's side and your best bet is to contact their support on the Paramount+ site. 

In the meantime, what error code and messaging are you seeing?

Agree, having the same with P+ adverts on both my Sky Pucks.

Since the Paramount + app went to an adverts tier, it has become flaky.

Never had any problems with the app, before that change.

 

Often, see problems during the advert countdown in that it halts for about 20 seconds or so and then continues the countdown.

Have also seen it hung during ads, with an error. Going back to Sky Puck Home, playing a live channel for a minute or so and back to the P+ app seems to cure it. But, then later on it can do same again.

It for some reason, does seem worse for the 1923 series.

 

I have tried the app on my Roku and Smart TV using the  same Sky (Sky Cinema) credentials and it is working fine.

 

Not seen it freeze or jump to next episode Myself.

Yes mine is doing exactly the same thing, it is driving me crazy. Unfortunately I can't find a way of watching 1923 elsewhere. I have friends who pay for paramount channel not through sky, they have no problems. The issue seems to be for just sky customers !

It sounds really annoying. I've not got any solutions so I'll back away from the conversation to let others who may know speak but my gut is that it's still a bug Paramount will need to look into because they build and maintain the app on Sky.

 

I hope you find a way to get this watched. 

A workaround is that you could subscribe to the Paramount+ channel on Amazon Prime and watch it there, but of course that will cost money and that's not ideal. But if you want to watch the show in the meantime this might be your best bet.

Ive mentioned it in our closed forum area, as it looks like the Puck or Glass is not connecting correctly via the P+app.

 

Be good, to see if others have the same issue.

Just tried with 1923 and NCSI origins and it's very flaky.

when you say you are getting same advert problems and error on your Smart TV.

Is that using the actual smart TV P+ app or is that using a Sky Puck on a smart Tv  and it is thee puck P+ app that is failing.

  • From the left-hand menu, select settings

Paramount + error

I can no longer watch paramount + , it just keeps freezing then not loading or says error 3005, I've read other people are having the same issue,  I've read through the chats. How can this be fixed please as there seems to be no answer

Suddenly cant watch paramount plus

Paramount plus is unwatchable,  it keeps freezing or just goes to error 3005, it's very frustrating. Do anyone know how to fix it please , as sky says it Paramount problem and Paramount say it's sky problem

@Meme25 a few posts above yours, @KevNewMedia from Sky was seeking more info. If you could provide that it will help them identify the problem sooner.
