Paramount + Freezing With Error 3005 or 9999 (Sky Q/Stream/Glass)

Trouble with the app

keeps buffering then coming up with error 3005

called sky support tried a few things still not working 

sky said they can't do much as they don't have access

I have the same issues, only when the ads come on. Really frustrating. I have tried rebooting both the router and puck twice, nothing changed.

If you get the 3005 error on a Sky box.

 

Do this, it's often helped others.

Start the Paramount+ app on an Android or Apple phone/tablet and play some content, say a good ten minutes.

You could also play some Paramount + content on a Smart TV app.

 

This seems to do some kind of account link refresh and after doing this your Sky box should play fine again.

Paramount+ stalling and failing constantly

Every time I view Paramount+ it stalls and then fails, normally during adverts, and then has to restart as if buffering problems. It's not signal strength because every other platform works fine. Is anyone else having this?

On what device are you using to view Paramount+, so Sky Q, Glass, stream, tablet, PC etc....

Paramount freezing in Sky stream

Watching Paramount plus, every 20mins it freezes. I have to close and restart, it stops starts

A number of customers are suffering from this.

Is it halting for you when an advert is counting down or at other stages during your viewing.

If you can describe further it will help Sky and others to compare the fault.

  • Yes. It freezes when the ads come on, the  ads will run for 15/20 secs then freeze , then we try to reset and error code 3005 comes up , I have checked all connections and the signal strengths they are all fine.

So frustrating, having the same issue. Have to come off the tv, watch the adverts on my phone and then back on the tv. Freezes everytime on the adverts with error code 3005 or 9999. Router is in room and no issues with WiFi

Paramount + error code 3005

I have Paramount + available and am able to load it ok and watch the programme but as soon as I get a 90 minute advert it will freeze periodically during it, then freeze and throw me out. I get an error message that says ooopps you appear to have a problem with your internet connection. Error code 3005. It plays the programmes fine and only freezes during the long advertisements. Sometimes it will continue after the freeze only to freeze again some seconds later and then throw me out.
I did not have this issue in the past with it (just only aware in the last few weeks when I tried to  rewatch 1924 season 1  in preparation for the new release of season 2)

It does this on my main box and my mini box. I have rebooted both ( switched off, unplugged and waited etc...) I have updated for any system changes on both boxes. 
I have no streaming issues with any other App such as Netflix, Amazon prime, Disney + , Discovery + and don't notice any issues generally with my internet.
