Hi,
my remote for my sky stream was working as normal and all of a sudden most of the buttons stopped working correctly the numbers just mute and unmute the tv
If I press left on my touch pad it turns sky off and on if I press right it brings up the search bar the rest don't function
i have tried changing the batteries and holding 7&9 followed by 1&3 to reset which said it worked, just I still had the same problem.. please help

Here are some things you can try: Firstly I would reboot the system by switching off at the plug socket for a minute before switching it on again. I will take about a minute to reboot.

Here are a couple of remote troubleshooting guides which may help:
You could also try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth. There was a faulty batch of remotes at the end of last year and this method often worked even though it sounds an unlikely solution (it actually worked for me). Whether it will work on newer remotes I don't know but it's worth a try.
If none of the above works then phone Sky to discuss and request a replacement remote.
If you have one available you can use a Sky Q remote.

Mine has started doing exactly the same thing... on and off button works, most of the others don't although pressing left on the wheel turns off sky ... very frustrating ...
can someone please help ??!

Jist logging the fact that this issue has also just occured with my remote.
I'll request a new remote but i'm unsure what has caused this to start with?

We are just customers like yourself on the forum to can't do anything about ordering a replacement. Have a look at the other posts in this thread and in particular to posts 3 and 8 above. There are some troubleshooting steps to try and a link where you can request a replacement.

Just posting to confirm we are having the same issue. I wonder if sky have done an update to cause these issues. We had it with a mini box. Where certain buttons just would not work. Ordered a new remote and now all good. But since Wednesday we now have the same issue for our main sky Q box. But it's not just the sky control that won't allow me to use the toggle buttons, but also our master remote and neither will work through our cupboard anymore, I need direct line of sight to the box!!
