4 times in a row today it kept freezing on the home page and crashing and rebooting. On one occasion it did not turn back on. Yes Sky have accepted their is still an issue better them and HO (broadband) but it's taking an awful long time to sort. Really hope it can get fixed, because as I keep saying, it's a great product, but only if it works correctly

I'm having issues this morning with lip sync. I have had stream for over a week and it has been fine however this morning after a few minutes of being ok the sound drops and then comes back on but the sound being a few seconds behind the picture. I've tried selecting different outputs e.g. PCM etc. but I get the same issue. I'm connecting Stream to TV then TV to Home theater through ARC. Everything else connected works fine as this was up until this morning. Really frustrating.

Just thought I'd add my voice to this.
Got stream recently which I like but this lip sync issue is extremely annoying.
Get it together Sky.
Not good enough.

Along with other issues @Bros123 listed below that need sorting. As I and many others keep hoping, hopefully soon
Black screens
Freezing on menus
Puck closing down and restarting and not always turning back on

It appears to be the poor hardware that Sky provide reading all the comments on here, and all the software releases that have come out and not fixed the issue, if you are out of contract or about to go out of contract and still want the Sky product, look at NOW tv with an apple TV box or a native app on a smart TV, you wont find the issues you get with Sky stream and the cost is lower and monthly contract if you want it. If this was a software issue surely Sky would have fixed it months ago.

@Roger17 That's exactly what I said to them on a call yesterday. I suspect that you are spot on and that it's a software issue and it's up to Sky to fix.

Have to say, I looked at now TV, on offer for £6.99. I chose one mth at £9.99, then cancelled straight away. Now, then offered me 6mths at 5.99 per month.
I get entertainment for my month. As I'm trialling it. However, no streaming issues, no loss of signal, no lip sync issues. It's looking good.
My options now seem clear, use Freesat 4k box for my TV and apps, use now TV for sky, with broadband on virgin. Cost will be about £55 to £60 per month. No sport though.

Any update on when this fix will actually be pushed to devices, it's now two months since we were told the fix is "coming soon", I know that's a subjective term, but I wouldn't call waiting two months with nothing particularly soon, especially when you're paying extra for Audi codecs you can't actually use!

@Matt+Nunns Like all the other current issues, I don't think we expect any time soon. It's all very frustrating the time it takes to sort everything out. There are so many issues outstanding. They really need to do more advanced testing when bringing out new products

I may be becoming a little pessimistic, but I rather suspect that in Sky's eyes the issues we are experiencing with voice sync are quite well down their list of commercial concerns. Why? Because the vast majority of Sky Stream users will have simple setups where the Sky puck is connected to their tv, and that tv provides both picture and sound. And there does not seem to be any problem with such a straightforward setup.
Those of us who have decided to adopt separate sound systems, whether a soundbar or a full 5.1 or 7.1 speaker system have unwittingly introduced a complexity which Sky is clearly having difficulty with. And since I suspect we are in a minority compared to the numbers of 'straightforward' Sky users, I fear there is a limit in terms of the resources that Sky are willing to commit to finding a solution to our problem.
I think the best hope is that Sky will introduce a mk II version of the puck and take the opportunity to resolve all the known hardware and software problems. Whether we could then persuade them to swap our mk I pucks for the mk II pucks is of course another matter. Either way, whilst it would be nice to think a solution is on the way, I for one am resisting the temptation to hold my breath!

Precisely.
Sky Stream is a mass market product. The mass market don't care much about lip sync, soundbars or Atmos systems, all they really want are some moving pictures with sound which Sky Stream does provide.
For those of us in the minority who do care more about the quality of the pictures and sounds we receive, other options are available. It's very good of Sky to continue to improve the NOW streaming service which will give you most of their own content via an app on alternative hardware, now in UHD with Atmos (when available) via the Ultra Boost option.
I gave Stream a year before I gave up waiting for improvements which never came.

We have just had to replace our Sony Bravia tv/sky q box/ Sonos beam sound bar (after a lightning strike!) so all equipment is brand spanking new and top of the range models.
we are having very bad lip sync issues on the sky F1 Chanel.. it's unwatchable.
tried changing to PCM and obviously the lip sync options in settings.. changed the tv settings and the lip sync on the Sonos beam. Absolutely nothing works to change the lip sync problem. All other normal and HD Chanels and apps are fine???
Are sky any nearer to offering a solution as it can't be our equipment or our end?

* and... We have also bought a splitter which doesn't work either

Hi Daniel,
I signed up with Sky about 3 weeks ago and use a Sky puck on a Samsung Frame TV. The lip sinc on SKy, Netflix and Amazon Prime is dreadful - had I known this I wouldn't have subscribed.
Is there an update since your post on 18th July? Thanks!
