@Super+Anthony In 25 years I think the only offers I have taken advantage of are a 6 and then a 3 month subscription to Apple +.  Oh, and 1 home visit when I moved which I didn't want but Sky insisted on in order to change my address.  The engineer arrived checked my signal strength through settings.  He then had a cup of coffee and a chat before leavin (a complete waste of everyones time)

@Henrydnail  As a temporary solution change your audio settings to PCM or Passthrough, this has worked for most people whilst Sky look for a permanent fix. (Settings > Picture & Sound > Sound > Digital audio output HDMI)

Some people have just been updated to the QS30 update and reports are promising with regards to  the lip sync issue but time will tell.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

This has been going on for a number of months with zero updates or commemts from SKY.  SKY lime many global organisaton expect the "cimmunity" to

manage our isssues.  The lip snch acorss sky suppliers and platfos needs an active response. Personnaly  I am not recommending and sky priduct. I feel we are being ripped.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Did anything ever happen with this? I still have lip sync issues and it's really frustrating. I like the idea of Sky Stream but this issue needs or be resolved!

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

I've read a lot of posts from various forums about lip sync issues. It seems to have started with Sky Q and then it was compounded by arc/e-arc hdmi.  None of the players is accepting responsibility for the issue and it appears that they refuse to work together to resolve it. The Sky Q solution is to connect the Q box to your sound system using an optical cable. Works 100% except you can't get Atmos if that is important to you. Only HDMI can do this so if you use that you resolve the Atmos loss but get sync issues. Optical will give you Dolby Digital and surround though.

But PCM prevents use of 5.1 or Atmos audio which many customers are paying extra for.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

I've cancelled my subscription after my last call with the technical department. Puck is so full of problems aside from the annoying lip sync. Don't like being told to use PCM for the audio and the lack of HDR on House of Dragons is the fault of my TV. The puck reverting to 1080 from 2160 every time the puck is put into standby is the fault of my Denon AVR X6500. Funny though that everything else going through the Denon works perfectly.

My request for a new puck was dismissed. Great way to retain customers as I've been with $ky for over 10 years.

The other thing I found annoying is that you have to give $ky 31 days notice to cancel so that they get some more money out of you. All my other streaming services get cancelled immediately.

Re: QS025 Lip Sync Issues

Our lip sync is poor with live tv, but all recordings and apps work fine!
I've tried all suggestions and just wasted another hour on it! Now ive got a poor picture!

We have a Samsung tv and sound bar

Any tips out there?

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Go into settings, there should be a tag saying pcm and pass through.

I changed mine to pcm stereo, and seemed to work

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Tried all these fixes but still had sync issues, then recalled that I had changed the picture resolution to 2160p UHD, so switched back to 1080p HD and the sync issue is resolved.  Seems perhaps that the higher picture resolution slows down the picture fractionally.  Worth reducing the resolution to see if this fixes your issue.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Unfortunately, along with black screen, looping adverts, freezing pics, footy players speeding up, i decided to cancel within my 31 day trial. Too many glitches at the minute.

Re: Lip Sync issues - Sky Stream

Yes 1080p is one of the solutions but then I miss out on UHD. This seems to be a common theme. There are other fixes but you always rob Peter to pay Paul. It should not be this way.
