Error code 5256 showing on amazon prime

Error code 5256 on Amazon prime. Restarted my router and tv multiple times but still showing error.

 

Can you help?

Sky Stream - Amazon Prime stopped working

Hi, 

I subscribed to Premier Sports through Amazon. When I tried to watch prime through my sky puck it is showing a 5256 fault. I've turned off TV, puck and router. Nothing has made a difference. Not sure if it is the premier sport subscription that has caused the issue. I can get Prime through my tv. Anyone any ideas?

Same for me.  Sky say all is ok, but obviously it isn't.

Having the same problem but just on one of the sky stream pucks . Did any one get a solution .

Same error message. I can watch prime thru my tv so obviously an issue on the Puck

Hi. Exactly the same for me since yesterday. 

Amazon support can't help and only tell you the usual guff - Restart device, uninstall/reinstall. But as far as I can tell there is no way to uninstall and reinstall on Sky stream. Websearches say go to 'app' menu.... but I don't see an app menu! I have pressed the refresh all option. 

 

All other apps/tv are working. It's just Prime. 

 

I bet Sky wont refund any Prime subs you loose out on depending how long this lasts for! Been over 12hrs since I first noticed.

Prime video Error 5256

I have recently upgraded to sky fibre, I'm using sky stream and have been for the last 2 years without issue, as soon as he upgrade to fibre occurred my prime video app showed the error message 5256.

 

i have tried everything from disabling sky shield to resetting and refreshing the apps, yes I've also turned it on and off.

 

anyone had this issue or know how to resolve?

Having exactly the same problem.  Come on Sky and acknowledge this issue and get it fixed ASAP.  Very frustrating as can access Prime on everything else except with the Puck

I'm sorry to see you're having a problem with the Amazon Prime Video app, we're now investigating this with Amazon in the mean time can you explain a little more when the error appears? Is this straight away upon launch, when you're navigating menus, or watching content?

As much detail is really helpful!

I am having exactly the same problem Error code 5256 with my Sky stream puck. I have tried all the self help given from restarting router to refreshing apps. Come on Sky time to get this sorted !! We don't only pay a subscription to Amazon but also you Sky for the pleasure of this inconvenience. Amazon Prime app works on any other device but the puck !!!!
