@Paul+Boland good to know thank you, updated original post (although left it live in case people are interested)

On another note, anyone having issues and that the system freezes and resets itself. I have had it three times today. Have spoken to Sky and they been very helpful
My speeds are fantastic. 90 via Ethernet and then 500 WiFi. I have swapped cables

To prevent confusion 1.2 or 1.3 is not a UI update but an Entertainment OS no.
UI version is represented something like: 20.285.028.06

I have 1.3 on mine and I saw the rotten tomatoes rating appear on movies now. definitely more helpful.
I have a weird HDMI issue that still exists.
if I setup the puck like this:
TV <------eARC------> AV receiver <-------- Puck
then the puck jams the eARC communications, this results in my sony TV not showing any inputs from the receiver (str-dh790). On top of that if I try to put the AV receiver into 'TV' mode, to output sound from built in TV apps, then nothing.
However if I set up the puck like this:
Puck ------> TV <-----eARC------> AV Receiver
Then everything is fine, - this is how I have left it.
Seems HDMI is still an issue even after 1.3.

I'm amazed that's still an issue. I found exactly the same thing when I got my puck back in October 2022. The spurious CEC commands it constantly sent out basically caused havoc with any other device connected to my TV or AVR and prevented any audio or control signals being passed from or to them.
I had to buy a CEC blocker from Amazon, which Sky refunded me the cost of, to stop this happening but it shouldn't really happen at all.
A software update allegedly fixed the issue several months ago but I never bothered removing the CEC blocker and ended up just getting rid of Stream completely.

ironically it was the first tjing I tried, although I plan to do another full system reset test.
(unplug all HDMI, power everything OFF then redo all cabling.

Good luck! Hope it works for you. My system, which includes devices from four different manufacturers only returned to full stability and functionality when I removed the puck!

Is there a specific order of plugging in the cables at the beginning?

No. It's best to connect cables initially with every device turned off.
A key thing is the speed at which connected devices wake up out of standby, which can be crucial for correct HDMI handshakes to take place.
Some TVs, for example, will wake up quicker than a soundbar or AVR connected to it. If the TV doesn't 'see' the soundbar/AVR when it tries to do its handshake, because the soundbar/AVR hasn't come fully out of standby yet, then it can cause issues of sound not being transferred correctly.
It varies between devices and tends to affect older hardware so not everyone experiences the problem.

Exactly this - in our case, the Sony 4K TV gets turned on first. Then the Denon AV receiver, which handshakes with the TV and agrees to handle the sound. Then the Sky Stream box (and other source devices) going into the Denon AVR. Everything handshakes properly, HDCP etc.
Switching on in any other order seems to risk the TV handling the sound output, Stream box thinking the AVR & TV can only handle HD and switching down from 4K and so on.

All set. Still on 1.2 though

Th UI version change bought that update.
I have had QS028.516.00P and 1.3 since 29th May.
Noticed yesterday the UI version changed with that settings layout change.
The firmware Build version QS28 and Entertainment OS version 1.3 is still being pushed out to customers in phases, so for those asking when you will get it, it should be within the next few weeks or so.
