I have a weird HDMI issue that still exists.
if I setup the puck like this:
TV <------eARC------> AV receiver <-------- Puck
then the puck jams the eARC communications, this results in my sony TV not showing any inputs from the receiver (str-dh790). On top of that if I try to put the AV receiver into 'TV' mode, to output sound from built in TV apps, then nothing.
However if I set up the puck like this:
Puck ------> TV <-----eARC------> AV Receiver
Then everything is fine, - this is how I have left it.
Seems HDMI is still an issue even after 1.3.
That's very odd.
I have mine set up as Puck and all other devices into AV receiver then hdmi out to TV. TV always on the same single AV channel for all devices. HDMI control off. Just switch the AV receiver to select input device. Keeps it simple, so it works fine.

I'm amazed that's still an issue. I found exactly the same thing when I got my puck back in October 2022. The spurious CEC commands it constantly sent out basically caused havoc with any other device connected to my TV or AVR and prevented any audio or control signals being passed from or to them.
I had to buy a CEC blocker from Amazon, which Sky refunded me the cost of, to stop this happening but it shouldn't really happen at all.
A software update allegedly fixed the issue several months ago but I never bothered removing the CEC blocker and ended up just getting rid of Stream completely.
Impressive. Good work!

I have mine also like
Puck ------> TV <-----eARC------> AV Receiver

Yep, my Sony isn't budget nor is it premium, it's in the middle. Runs Google OS.
Every device works fine (even my retro Toshiba hd-dvd player shows up no issue)
Why the Puck jams eARC is beyond me.
Should note I keep the TVs firmware upto date and it's only 2 years old as well.

Unless I have completely lost plot and never noticed this before the midweek UI changes are in the tv guide too with the image on certain programmes now seeping into the listings.

Pretty sure that change came with the software/OS update as I'm certain I saw it days before that settings UI change when my puck was upgraded.

Only one of our pucks has been updated to 1.3, the others are still on 1.2 and it's there on them but also not as pronounced, this could also be a result of the actual TV's being more lower to mid range with nowhere near the hdr range as the main tv which is a high end one that the 1.3 update happens to be on.

@IWTD am still on 1.2 and UI 20.284 and I get those images as well, so dont think its anything to do with the updates. Its the same as the settings boxes at the bottom being changed

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreOnly noticed the 'hero' page spread into the tv guide and other menu areas after the UI update change we had last week.
Was not part of the firmware Build version QS28 and Entertainment OS version 1.3 update that I had 29th May.

As I mentioned in post 135 in this thread;
The firmware Build version QS28 and Entertainment OS version 1.3 is still being pushed out to customers in phases, so for those asking when you will get it, it should be within the next few weeks or so.

Updated this morning. As people mentioned, not anything big

Yeah mine has updated too (The initial update I had was rolled back for some reason)
I just hope the ALLM has gone live or there is at least an indicator that it's enabled when I turn the console on ("Game mode enabled" or something similar)
