OK, so just to be clear, the rollout is supposed to be happening from May but we are nearly at the end of May and I dont know of anyone that has received the update.
I am only interested in the ALLM mode to be fair, so I can actually try and enjoy PS5 games and cannot believe we have had to wait for so long for this as it is!!
I just wish Sky would be honest and confirm when users will actually receive the update.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@photonmonkey Sky have never provided firm dates for software rollout as that can be affected by issues with the updates, rollouts have in the past been reversed or pulled due to issues the updates have caused.
Patience is required.

I watched some boxing on the UHD test channel 922 last night which was useful as there was a countdown timer on the screen obviously. I kept flicking back between 922 and 401 and I reckon 922 was ahead by 22-24 seconds.
That's excellent. It bodes well for the new football season!

Indeed - i just hope Sky are able to meet the target of getting all their sports channels in low latency by the end of the year as it will be such a big improvement.
That test channel has been running for a couple of months now, so clearly a lot of time, effort and technology has gone into making sure the low latency streams are the best they can be.

How do you get these test channels as in 901 etc
25 May 2024 12:12 PM
@D+Hig Punch the numbers in with the remote keypad, they do not show in the tv guide, 921 for HD and 922 for UHD.

Thank you very much 👍

Both my Sky Glass and Pucks have been updated to OS 1.3
I don't have a games console connected to my Sky Glass so don't know if Auto Game Mode is enabled yet.
I not had a chance yet to see if anything new is enabled or test if update causes any new issues.
Note
Some new features might not be enabled yet even if you get new OS or firmware updates they can be enabled at a later date.
Also updates are rolled out in batches so some customers get updates before other customers
I get updates early.
If you not got update yet it will happen in June or July
Entertainment OS 1.3
Build Version QS028.516.OOP

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Paul+Boland I have not had much time to "play" with the new update but I see the ability to reboot your stream puck is now included under settings > system management > resets & updates. This will please a lot of subscribers.

Using the restart feature from settings takes longer than using power plug method
It takes about 3 min to get to home screen menu.

Yeah ....
quite handy for those with a tv on the wall and the socket behind though
And at least we can change up the "pull the plug" comments to "press restart in the settings"!

Also handy when you are comfortable on the sofa or armchair 😀
