Re: Dolby Atmos audio drop out

Yes, that's very frustrating, occasionally the failure to load thing has happened to me usually a quick restart from the settings sorts it. Not had the sync problem though I think this a different issue to Atmos audio drop out discussed in this thread.

Re: Dolby Atmos audio drop out

I have LG G5 and LG US80T soundbar and I upgraded the soundbar-to-TV HDMI cable to a UGreen Ultra HD Certified cable. I have the TV set to passthrough and eArc is enabled. I have the sky stream puck connected to the HDMI IN port on the soundbar and when I watch UHD HDR Dolby Atmos content I am getting periodic video and audio drop outs (happened twice in an hour) for 1-2 seconds and then "HLG HDR" logo shows up again on the TV and "Dolby Atmos" flashes up on the soundbar as if it's only just activated. Bizarrely I never got loss of signal or audio before I got the soundbar and was just plugged the stream puck into the TV and using the built in speakers.

Re: Dolby Atmos audio drop out

I have a very similar set up to yours, but with 2025LG C5 and LGS5Q soundbar. I previously had an issue with just audio drop outs on dolby atmos but this seems to have gone away. I am connected in a different way so wondering if this is worth a go.

HDMI from sky stream to TV HDMI 1 input (not to soundbar)

eARC HDMI tv out to eARC HDMI input on soundbar.

Sky stream Digital audio output HDMI set to passthrough

TV settings-HDMI input Audio format Bitstream

DTV Audio setting Dolby Digital

Worth trying to see if that helps

Panasonic TV.

watching live sports channels

Syy sports channels - main event e.g. during live premierships broadcast.  Seems to be during all live HDR sports events on Sky sports channels.

An example would be during last nights broadcast of Stoke City v Middlesbrough on Main Event channel - 13 October 2026.
